    Happy New Year all.

My account is still saying I've got to much in it even though I restarted my support. So alas, still drawing from old images.

I do not remember where this is from.

From October 1993, CSX power is arrayed around the turntable at the former B&O shops at Cumberland, MD.

Hanging around the Hattiesburg passenger station until the public library opens. Got a cup of dark roast and a cinnamon chip muffin and watched NS 9205 do some yard switching but too far away for a photo.

I’d never been inside the station but it was renovated several years ago and it’s really nice inside and out. There were about a dozen people waiting for Amtrak’s Crescent when I walked through the waiting room. A poster on the wall caught my eye, a diagram of Hattiesburg area rail lines circa the 1920’s.

I see the Crescent has been cut back to three coaches. She was running five for the holidays.

That map shows the reason Hattiesburg is called the Hub City. There were six, possibly seven, railroads meeting at, and serving customers around the city.

Even now I see CN, NS, Amtrak in the city. KCS serves the NS Bell Yard in Hattiesburg as well.

UP, of course, shows up everywhere it seems.

This one is from last Dec, but I was reviewing some stuff and found it. Snow! Which we really don't have much of this year.
