I had a new Beetle, what a POS, the door lock fell out and landed on the street, the key got stuck in the trunk and had to be removed at the dealership. Then the wiring harness went bad in the dashboard and finally had to get new brakes every 15,000 miles. Rick J
Incredible scene! I see an orange and black loco, there. Was that put there for the benefit of us MILW fans?
Not sure how old your Beetle is that the door lock don't work. My Ford stationwagon is thirty years old and the electric door locks still work.
Nice wagon! Looks great with the whitewalls. I have an '07 Crown Victoria and it's the best car I've ever had, period (and it's my third Crown Vic). Reliable, solid and gets 35 MPG on the highway.
For the VW faithful, Southern Worthersee held each May in Helen, GA is the place to be. Nearly 2,000 VW's show up. This photo I took shows only a small portion of what's there. My wife drives a 2010 VW Sportwagen TDI (turbodiesel) 6-Speed bought new and it's been a blast to own so far. Time will tell I guess.
Have a 61 LeSabre, built with my sons....and now is my youngest sons car. And back to modeling....yes, Lksound in a MDCmogul. Trying to decide to put speaker in cab or tender coal load...cab is looking best. Anyway, got this far today and brain went PFFFFT!
Oh my lord, my dad's last Station Wagon was an 86' country squire. 5.0. I learned to drive in that car. And he would have kept it till the day he died had he not gotten into a fender bender with a college student and the insurer said they were totaling it. I miss that car. Could haul a 4x8 sheet of plywood perfect for mr. So many trips to the hobby shop. Thanks for sharing Mr. SP.
