SNFF 2009 09 11 Old photo from March 2006, taken on Jim Younkin's beautiful layout, the Mud Bay & Southern, in Olympia, Washington: A gorgeous layout: More on that layout visit at: http://home.comcast.net/~atsf_arizona_2/Jim_Younkins_Mud_Bay_and_Southern.html Thx, Jim, and to Brian, for hosting me during that business trip up there 3 1/2 years ago! A treat that I'll always remember. If any of you get to see Jim Younkin's modeling up close and personal - you're in for a super treat. He does great stuff, a real craftsman and representative of the artsmanship of our hobby
Action on the Missouri & Arkansas Railway Taking a break at the Prestage Tool & Gear siding. US MAIL at the Hawk Point MFA Elevator. Loading some vegetables from the farmers vegetable stand.
When I look at this, I can hear that distinctive sound that wind makes as it whips through stiff, leafless trees. Great effect, Mike! ---jps
I was that guy in that cold photo a few times!! Great photo....you can feel the cold just looking at it. Really cool! (No pun intended! LOL)
That is a fantastic winter photo and one that I also have experienced more than I would care for in Minnesota
I have a second image for this weekend taken in the same place. I have added Pop and changed the engine and consist. I also took the image with bright daylight showing in a window just to the left of the caboose on the far wall. Gives a different feel.
Hello everyone. Great photos as usual. The winter shot is too real to be a model, great work. Here are a few. The GP30 leading the U25B and RS32 just had the lights reworked, much better now.
