Someone once called me Rock Island Straw (r_i_straw). OK, here is my total Rock Island collection. ;)

Russell, a unique unit being a BL2, I never had any Rock Island equipment until recently when I added a number of cars to my Auto Parts pool that they participated in.

Managed to finish a couple of cars this week!

Front Range ACF 1944 AAR Boxcar Kit, A-Line Sill Steps and used a Branchline Diagonal Panel Roof in place of the Front Range one. Car was painted with Scalecoat II Chinese Red and lettered with Herald King Decals. Car was originally purchased in 1953 and repainted in 1973 in this the Coast Guard scheme that was applied to a lot of CNJ equipment.

Intermountain PS1 Boxcar kit with A-Line Sill Steps, painted with Scalecoat II Oxide Red and lettered with Speedwitch Media Decals. Car was originally purchased in 1947 and in 1964 20 cars #34001-34020, were pulled out of service and had steel plate floors installed bolster to bolster along with Evans DF loaders.

    Thanks for looking!

I've always been a BL-2 fan, and that is one of the better looking paint schemes.

I have finally started the detail/weathering process on my engine service area. Added a walkway and put down some oily black. More fun to follow.
Trying to decide what to do with the factory "weathering" on the turntable pit floor. I don't care for the radial weathering.

Hey! Where are more photos? No one here for over a day. It's not my fault because I can't seem to post them correctly is it? Jim:unsure:

I have started a new project for the Pacific Electric Playa Desnuda branch. Just down the tracks of the Santa Monica Airline was a lumber company, Fisher Lumber. [IMG]

Here's a shot of Northern Pacific passenger train taken at the Livingston Model Railroad club in the Basement of the old Northern Pacific depot. A couple of FP-7's by Atlas are pulling the string of cars.
