I managed to get a couple of cars done this week! Intermountain 1937 AAR 40' Boxcar Kit, substituted a Des Plaines Hobbies Viking Roof for the Kit Supplied Murphy Panel Roof. Used Yarmouth Model Works metal sill steps instead of the cast plastic sill steps. Painted car with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and Black paints then decaled with Champ Decals. Athearn 50' Gondola Kit (s/b 53'), removed the cast grabs and installed Tichy Wire Grabs along with A-Line Sill Steps. Painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and lettered with Herald King Decals. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski

How much do the upstairs apartments go for? Depending on cost, I might move into one and use a second as a train room. Though I agree with you, looks like the perfection of dumpy...
Candy, in your hands decrepitude and decay are raised to a form of art. I have seen a lot of old neighborhoods in Montreal that look just like that. Grimy apartment blocks, old enough to have those electrical support stands on the roof that look like playground swings, with ground floor businesses that are more often empty than occupied, cracked sidewalks... Keep up the great work!
You must have a lot of cars! They are very nicely done. Any experience with Funaro and Camerlengo? Randy
Here is an old one, with the old steamer that is on it's way out and the new F-7 studs below. Both have those famous PFE reefers. I, a few years ago, loaded many of those reefers on the PFE ice dock in El Paso. Today, I wouldn't be able to budge one of those 300# blocks of ice. Oh well, life goes on.
Randy, I have three or four F&C kits to build and one of them is a kitbash to replicate an NKP Covered Hopper. I have built some Rail Yard Models Resin Kits and enjoyed them very much, here is one a Thrall 60' Boxcar used for transporting Kelloggs Cereal. Thanks, Bill I try to change out the sill steps on all my models and add grabs and new ladders where appropriate. Rick Jesionowski
Got some weathering done on the Frisco GP38AC.The photo of the prototype showed the horn had been replaced at some point, apparently a while as it is pretty sooty and oily.
One more for me. An older one that I don't remember posting before. I may be all wet because I am 76.5..
