Work in progress, unfortunately the Lifelike N scale E6 shell is incorrect and I didn't pick it up until I was applying the decals...........:tb-hissyfit: still lots to do
layout project for the week I finally installed some additional lighting in my layout room since it only has a single bulb overhead fixture. Then I thought I'd snap some pictures to see how the new lighting worked/looked. -Jeff
the dullcote is still wet on this one! Turtle Creek Central F7 phase 1 on a Caboose hop Intermount. shell on Stewart/Kato drive
Can't sleep so I will post some pictures from this week.... First, another house is landscaped on the HO layout... Second... Last Sunday I decided to set down with my 4 year old and see if he was ready to build a model. I had picked up a Life-Like Williams General Store kit for $4 just for this purpose. I taught him how to paint as much as possible while still on the sprues and let him pick the colors. Thankfully his color choice was reasonable. He painted the walls, window inserts, roof panels and all the loose details on the sprues. We then glued it together and I painted the remaining trim and gutters. He then applied the stickers. For a kid who's idea of a self portrait is a circle with 3 dot's and a smile, an upside down U for legs and two blocks for feet (no arms mind you), he painted very well. I could set him up with the color, tell him what parts needed painting and turn him loose. He did get a little impatient waiting for things to dry. "Dad, I want to watch the trains run by the building, not build it." I hope he get's over that part.
Tony, your son did a great job. It looks like he did a better job at 4 than I can at 73...:tb-wacky:
Nothing new from me for a good while, but here's NS C40s coming out of the Cumberland Valley's mine yard & then heading out of Coal Fork Jct ....
