The minor league team from Galveston rode up to Rosenberg on the bus to play a game. ZOOM Our club had fun cutting up N Scale Prizer People, gluing them back together in baseball poses and painting them.
Some weathered boxcars on the JJJ&E: This 2-8-2 Mikado keeps showing up for "work": Stay cool and run steam.....
Bob Great looking cars and locomotives! I really like the weathering on the UP boxcar. Mike Great job on the decaling! I don’t have anything new yet this weekend. So here is an older shot. Not sure if I have posted it before.
Well, no modeling shots from me, although I weathered 6 D&RGW geeps over the week.. My main focus this week was the break-in run of UP 844, a 4-8-4 Northern type steam locomotive. I managed to score a cabride from Brighton to Denver Union Station! Here's a shot of proof, somewhere south of Brighton, and north of Commerce City CO: (Denver smog and skyline visible in distance) And somewhere in the wasteland of Northern Colorado, off a dirt road crossing:
Almost have this building finished, its a Bachmann Freight Station, still needs some minor details, that I don't have, but I'm working on it. The young man at the back of the truck isn't much help right now; It's Watermelon time!!!
I have been trying out the Depth of Field on the new camera, so here is a shot with a lot of detail in it.
Today caught some GE action operating a gondola train 2 MOPAC B23-7's and a UP C30-7 assisting. Here the train can be seen passing through Roanoke yard

I sure do enjoy this thread each week! Always nice to just look. Very nice work, everyone. I am glad to see Jon Grant was in HO scale; I was starting to feel bad about my cars! Very nice weathering. That is always a chance you take on weekends when you read this thread!
Off to Mother's day supper. I have been working on detailing these TOFC flat cars on my layout. Here are two Concor 50 foot flat cars. This car has a MT trailer hitch wheel to hold the car. This car has the stock Concor trailer hitch. It really helps the appearance, IMHO. More tomorrow on the Atlas cars. [ May 07, 2005, 04:57 PM: Message edited by: sapacif ]
Nice shots everybody! I've got a new toy--a Nikon D70 purchased as a backup to my D100. Except I think the D100 is now the backup to the D70! I've shot some new stuff, and will post later.
Great photos guys! I'm slowly foaming up my next layout section, so here is a look, while SP GE units ease a mixed freight down the hill:
Trees grow quickly in Pennsylvania. After looking at the weathering shots, I am getting the urge stronger and stronger to stop planting and start aging.
