(Approximately) four geeps and an SD35 wait patiently on the East Yard departure tracks. In a few minutes, these engines will be coupled to a train for later departure to Houston through Russell Straw's Sugarland modules. The two empty tracks on the lower right are the main line tracks through San Antonio. The Sunset route is primarily a single track across south Texas. Been awhile since postingI finally got around to working on a few of my C44-9Ws. With all this talk about Fallen Flag units, I thought I would make one, well sort of.
First time posting here just joined this week. Some really great work shown here. My buddty Pete came over this week and we got 12 more tortises installed and CV came over Saturday morning and finnished mudding the last corner behind the helix. I got it painted today. Added this bridge across on the searsport Sub today. The track on the right isthe Searsport branch and the track to the left cuts back through the backdrop and hooks on to the potato branch. The layout is built to operate point to point but has a couple of cheater tracks that connect for those mindless loopty loops as Lee would say.
I finally had some time for a photo on the layout. A set of helpers nears the top of the grade and will soon cut off and head back down the hill.
