Robin, Chris, and Jason from CZM put their heads together and came up with this very original and wonderful paint scheme to honor Karin's and my wedding on Sunday the 15th.

    Great idea and greatly appreciated.

    Congratulations!!!

You have about 24 more hours to go before that knot is tied tight!!!! Can you imagine trying to untie a Z scale knot? Forget the magnifying glass, just deal with it!!!!

The caboose looks great!!! Imagination at large!!!! The guy even resembles you Loren!!!!

    Have a great time!!!!!

    Congratulations!!!!

I don't know about fat, but from what I recall of you in a photo, the roof top can be easily sun damaged if not protected!!!! Don't feel bad, shingles are falling off my roof every day!!!! Ugh!!!

You know, we did play with that idea a bit, but then I reminded Karin of how much fun it would be to dig greasy cake frosting out of loco under carriages. Shelved that idea in record time.

This is an outdoor wedding and we're having a small gathering, so consequently small tables. If we had planned this a bit more and had more room we could have had a train running, but alas, it's not to be.

Speaking of cake, I can't believe all I'm going through just to get a piece of that cake.........ha!

    Wedding

Congradulations Loren and Karin!! The only thing that sucks about the whole thing is I have to eat breakfast by myself this morning...talk about misplaced priorities ) What kind of planning was that anyway!!

Kidding of course. I'm very, very happy for the both of them, they actually look happy together and she's motivated him to clean up his upper great room and that must be love! I think they are going to make a great team!

Best Wishes for a long and happy marriage.

    Joe

Breakfast? At least you got to have some breakfast. Me?...I'm starved and in the middle of a million things to take care of.

And listen boys and girls, that great room upstairs that I'm in the process of cleaning up, (slowly) is going to be the club house for any and all Z scalers to congregate at. I especially want to see Joe's Dunsmuir and Hornbrook modules set up with mine and running trains on cold, rainy nights.

Why, we might even put in a train video and eat pizza as the trains roll.
At least that is the long range plan...right Joe?

    Off to the races....er, wedding.

    Hope everything went well yesterday.

Loren, You might have to put up one of those around the room G scale track shelfs in the great room. ;-)

    Congratulations!

As an N-scaler, I am awed by what you folks can do in Z scale. My fingers are too big and my eyes too astigmatic to deal with anything much smaller than N scale.

This is kind of funny because I am planning on some day buying some Kato RDC undec's and doing them up like the Lewis and Clark Explorer train, which my wife and I took on our belated and short honeymoon (we didn't have much money and had even less time). It was a great trip.

Re: hairlines, I had always thought I would be a chrome dome by now since my maternal grandfather was basically bald on the top from about the age of 30, but instead I am going grey.

As far as the belly... I'm working on it!
