Here is a pic taken by Bob Vogel the other day of a Warbonnet in Southern New Jersey. Apparently it's been operating here the past week. I'm gonna try and get up that way and take a look at her. http://chuchubob.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=380125
I think that she is stuck in NJ because in that condition someone misunderstood and thought it was war-ban-it scheme. I wouldn't want anything that ugly running on my home rails if I was in charge @ BNSF.
war-"bun sniffed"-it as indicated under # on cab. If she's lucky she'll get H2ed like some other Santa Fe Dash 8s. Too bad bunsniff doesn't do some up in heritage paint schemes like UP is doing.
I know BNSF's mission is the same as any other corporation these days, (ie. to make a profit for the shareholders) but the condition of this unit is why I'm losing interest in the present day BNSF.
The "mission" is gimme money. The RRs are being run by bean counters & mouthpieces. Screw the customers & employees to make money then stick it to everyone so they can fly off on their golden parachutes.
