I'm going to take a stab in the dark and see what comes back. I am presently eyeing Kato's new P42 Model with Via Rail Canada markings as my first locomotive purchase for my impending plunge into model railroading. Here's a pic of the Locomotive... I've had the pleasure of riding once or twice on Via with this one in the lead... Right now, Via is in transition to various new passenger cars, including ones that are designed to go with this particular paint scheme... the first train in the animated .gif... My understanding is that Via is also to be using the Budd passenger cars regularly, along with the more common and agin LRC cars... Here's the question... with a nice new spiffy engine like the P42 available in N-Scale with Via markings... where might I be able to find various selections of N-Scale Via passenger cars?
That is a very distinctive paint scheme. How things have changed since my visit in 1985! That one is worth buying just to put on a display shelf Definitely a good first buy! I will have to leave it to others to suggest passenger cars for it to haul.
