Directional lighting is taken care of by the decoder. You can use the light board to pick up your red and black wires to the decoder, but you'll need to cut tracces to isolate the motor leads so you can attach the orange and gray wires. The blue / white and blue/ yellow wires will go the the front and rear LEDs, which have also been isolated by cutting the traces (be sure that there is an appropriate resistor, sometimes DCC needs a larger value resistor than DCC due to the higher average voltage).
