According to the "Contemporary Diesel Spotter's Guide" published by Kalmbach, CP 9000 is an SD40-2F. A full-cowled version of the SD40-2. They were built in London, Ontario in November 1988.

Welcome, Chessie, I do not believe that any have made it to the shield, and I doubt any will as slowly they will be put in storage from now on if they have mechanical problems.

    Happy Railroading!!

They are leaving slowly, don't worry, infact I think only one of them is out of service at this time. I heard a crew say though, if there is major problems they will go to storage.

Just a clarifying note on this subject.

CP 9000, and CP 9022 are the Dual flag painted units, all remaining are A8NM

More than likely these units will be the last in the series of all SD40-2's, being the newest. So one may be Stored, but will not be for long.
