We are back from our trip to Prague. I was disappointed in the amount of rail activity, but later I will have some pix from two of Prague's passenger stations. Meanwhile, the city has an excellent tram system. I don't know much about what models or manufacturers are represented. Here are two pictures for starters. I will have more later.
I love watching trams in mainland european countries The yellow one looks the same type as some I saw in Koln, Germany and are quite old, I think, although new types were also in evidence. Look forward to seeing more, Pierce
I have been searching the internet to try and find more information about these trams. I believe the yellow is designated a T3. The red one is a T6A5. I read that the Prague transit people have done a lot of major upgrading of the T3s. The T6A5s seem to be a newer design. I have not found out much about who manufactured them, as yet.
These two were travelling along the bank of the Vltava River in Prague. I was aboard a boat on the river when I made these shots. A two-car lash-up of T3s. T6A5s moving in the other direction.
Pleased to see you did not miss an opportunity to photograph trams, even whilst enjoying a river trip
