I'm contemplating doing a CD-ROM of a Milwaukee Road track profile. I've several books collected. This one I've used the most. It is the entire main line, Chicago to Seattle-Tacoma, mid-1950s. (No branches.) To do the project, would take some serious scanning time. It's something in the neighborhood of 600 pages. Maybe more. 800? I can't recall. This would be something home grown. No fancy software. Simple JPEGs. And quality of the pages to copy does vary. Is this an idea of interest to anyone? Let me know? Boxcab E50
Rob- If you can think of anyone else who'd possibly be interested, please run the idea past them. I need to know if there is any demand at all. Even though home computer based, it's a lot of potential work. Thanks! Boxcab E50
Andy- Thanks. Hope a few other folks would as well. Amazing that after all the times I have copied some pages for people, I thought a few other folks would be interested. So far, that level is well below room temperature. Boxcab E50
None. I've owned the book for over 25 years. The RR long gone. Divesting itself of such materials, before going into Soo Line. It's in the public domain. Confirmed to me by a former Milw legal type person! $$$? depends upon the interest level. The more people, the more spread out the cost, to cover my time. Boxcab E50
