I have the Aztec track cleaner with the roller and wipers and the magnet. Does anyone have a good method of getting the grundge off the roller? Also, I have a Roco track cleaner with the eraser. Anyone have a good method of cleaning this eraser? Any other comments on cleaners? Thanks! Dale
Have the same Aztec cleaner car. I bought an extra roller when I got the car, thinking it would need replaced. Haven't reached that point yet. I was thinking of using one of the track cleaner solvants plus a light metal brush? Will need to know answer myself soon. DO NOT use anything but soapy water to clean the Cratex roller. NO SOLVENTS!!! ------------------ Keep on Track'N Harold Riley www.phcomputing.com
I am assuming these are good, becuase you haven't made them sound bad, yet I should be getting one moderatly soon, as the track on the new layout will have to be cleaned before I do real operation. The one thing I don't like about it is the price. Why are they so expensive? Is it worth it? Happy Railroading!! How does the Centerline track cleaner compare to the Aztec one? I've been thinking about getting one, but they are so expensive. Are they worth that much? ------------------ Rett
I have three Aztec cars, that run constantly. Two have the Cratex rollers and one has the canvas roller. I run two units on the east bound and one on the west bound line. I really appreciate the Aztec units. Why not to use solvents to clean the rollers? John from Aztec has indicated the Cratex roller will last a LONG time if it is cleaned properly, not using solvents, like Goo-Gone. I was told solvents will break-down the Cratex, causing a premature replacement of the roller. My rollers have been in constant serivce for 4 years & are still running great. The canvas roller is for a wet cleaning, using rubbing alcohol. ------------------ Keep on Track'N Harold Riley www.phcomputing.com

I think it was Harold who gave me the tip for Aztec track cleaners, and I have one so far and I am very satisfied with it. I will be getting some more. ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.ac-models.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery Alan's European Gallery Alan's British Steam Gallery
