This is my version off the "Mann's Creek Railroad 20tonn Coal Hopper." Featured in a NG&SL Gazette number some time ago. It's a nice coal hopper for my Needle Eye Rail Road layout and it will make a nice addition to my rolling stock and my layout I think.

Read some more about it on my homepage www.torsja.com

A great scratchbuild! I have the book on the Mann's Creek RR so if you need any photos or drawings let me know, but it seems like you've nailed it.

I have now made three off the hoppers for my layout. The next three I'm making is going to Jürg in Switzerland.

Nice! And the paint and weathering look just like thick wood beam construction! Excellent Job!;)

Going to be a long time before anyone makes anything better than that coal car ! The hinges are fabulous but the overall detail, especially how low the body is, fantastic. Maybe I will tape a picture on the side of the Penzee hopper for our modules :)

That's really nice work!! I'm struggling to produce mediocre results in N scale, and you're doing great stuff in Z!!

    Congratulations

Since it's so wide for a standard guage car, it would do well as narrow gauge... oh, wait, the prototype was 3' gauge. :D

    Hello Torsja,

More near to mother nature I have never seen before I found your first pictures and videos on the net.
And always hard to believe for my friends that this is Z.

What I like even more than the hoppers is how nice the 2-6-0 runs.
