I made a trade a while ago, and in return Tom promised he would send me something nice. I did not know what it was, but that it would be heading my way after NMRA judging for AP points. I knew it would be good. But now I am very happy! A Difco Dumper in Z! This car is a real beauty, and is prized right up there with the drop bottom gondola's that I got from Dave Freehling. Dave, Knowing Tom, he's most likely got extensive directions on how he built it on his website, especially if he built it for merit points. That's Tom's strategy, to dazzle them with too much background and build detail info. ;-) I got to visit with Tom (and Adam and Stephen) in Dallas in January and seeing some of Tom's work up close and the jigs he comes up with to build everything was just amazing. My favorites are the MKT cabooses. Tom is inspiring me to eventually try for the NMRA Master Model Railroader certificate. Randy

I'm guilty as charged. So guilty I won't even try to defend myself. I don't think I've finished a project since just before NTS 2005. On the other hand, I just sent in the registration form for the First Annual Brunswick Railroad Museum train show: http://www.brrm.net/trainshow.html DC Z-Bend Track group ha top billing on the print version of the flyer, but bumped to second on the online version (because we have no website I guess). Should be a fun show (and the 1:1 mainline and museum are a block away.) By the way, Joe, this is your reminder for the show. ;-) Randy
Randy, you are worse shape then I thought. That is almost two years. I would strongly suggest that you build a model just to get the ball rolling. One of Roberts kits is a good choice. Once you build one, you just cant stop. His kits are easy, and you dont have to airbrush if you dont want to. I hand paint mine on some of them. Or I have to send Sgt Tim to whip you in shape.
