I came across this idea someplace on the net cant seem to get back their but they used click ink pens to throw switches, so i figured why not try it! Ive taken a ink pen and to start ground off the metal clip. next I had to grind the plastic tip all the way down to the spring inside the pen so that the ... red thing, will not bottom out on the tip, thus not allowing for the pen to travel its full length. the "red thing" is a automotive wire crimp, i ended up having to grind down the steel ball point of the pen in order to insert it into the wire crimp. on the other end is some floral wire to connect to the turnout. I have tried: hot glue J B weld Solider tape a combination of J B and tape the wire crimp works 100 times better hands down, now i just have to figure out what will take the ink off my hands that list will come later. thought i would share maybe someone can take it to the next level!
