Here's a photo I have been playing around with in Paintshop pro7 to get some special effects. Like the relfection of lights in the water. Paul
I like the effect you have captured of the sunset tinging the clouds and how dark it gets in the valley at evening. Also the moon peeking out from under one of the clouds. You have captured the reflection of those lights on the water very well too.
Sorry Paul... Can't hear what you said! Sawmills too loud! Better'n most fireworks displays... With everyone else
I think Paul is just pulling our leg. There has to be a real sawmill that he takes pictures of and says it is his model
Thanks to all for the very nice comments. Graham my friend, most of my little people are un-painted Model Power, although at times I do buy them painted. (A bit pricey when painted) some others are Langley- white metal figures which are to OO not HO gauge of 4mm to the foot instead of 3.5mm. But, they ain't bad to use as log monkeys to jump around on the logs all day. Paul
AAAH! It's YOU! This is the first time I've been to this part of the board. Paul, I gotta tell you, your work is some of the most inspiring I've seen around! I have bookmarked your home site and look at the pictures often to help me in the designing of my layout. The attention to detail and the mood that is set is fantastic. You are a real asset to this hobby! I don't get star struck ( I live in So. Cal. Land of the movie stars ) but I sure am pleased to see you here!
Another beauriful picture, Paul. This really demonstrates you have an excellent understanding of light. I have seen it in other pictures of yours, but this has to be a best of the best.
Paul, Simply wonderful! I work with a fellow who takes photos of outdoor scenes while he's on holiday, (vacation to us Yanks) and he produced a calendar with his photos! Have you ever considered this? I for one would buy several to give as gifts. Your layout is indeed one of my favorites....... 2slim
