The two large load-out buildings are indeed modified HO Scale Walthers Blue Start Redi-Mix buildings. Other buildings are kitbashed N scale kits and scratchbuilt structures, like the curved top cinder block kiln building.

Thanks-had considered using them but wrote them off because they were HO-I might revisit that decision when it comes time to build that part of my next layout!

The side facing away from the viewer has the HO scale personnel door. I just left it since it can't be seen on my layout. It can be easily disguised with details like a conveyor or cyclone duct collector if you needed the structure oriented differently.

I have still not had any time to spend working on my N-scale Housatonic Layout in a while, but I did get a chance to visit with someone that is working on the actual Housatonic RR GP-35 #3604. That locomotive is being rewired and will be running again thanks to the great team at the Grafton & Upton RR shop in Massachusetts. A good friend of mine, from the G&U, saved the two front number boards from the 3604 for me. One was broken and the other a bit faded so they were being replaced. They now have a home with me. Since I can't shrink them down to fit my N scale models, I will have to frame at least the one intact number board and maybe even backlight it. Here is the intact one next to my N-scale model of the #3604. That will definitely find a place of honor in my layout room!

That is super cool especially since you have the model 3604.

It really is Joe. Thanks to the invitation, I got to spend some time in and around the #3604 in the Grafton & Upton shop too.
