If MP follows through with their commitment to finer quality and better prices, they might become a contender for my money once again....lets wait and see!

Lets see if they got the same religion The other guys got and see if they keep it

Sure hope they do a little work on the mantua stock...some of it can definately be reworked...such as the window silouettes and the truck mounted couplers.

Either way, we still have parts!

This sounds promising! [IMG] Now if they can just add a little roadname variety to their production, instead of just one or two roadnames per model, they might sell a bit more.

That sounds promising, my impression of the Mantua (steam loco anyhow) stuff was always that it gave a good quality basic loco, but for some reason they were charging almost P2K prices for them!

Not sure their diesels were much to write home about however :(

If they go back to the metal steam engines, and sell spare parts for scratch building again, and do away with the TYCO tender drive junk, they might stay in business. Have to wait and see.

We are stuck with the price, whatever they can get, but if the quality isn't there, why pay for junk?

    Watash,
If they come up to standards with the Mantua stock and all and deliever the prices for good materials and so forth I believe are fondness of Mantua will become alive once again. I was always fond of Mantua, no matter what it was. I know that they're basic design would correspond with any of the super detailing itmes sold so. I know I can take a plain jane loco and customize it to whatever wheel arrangement I'm modeling relatively easy.... I hope they bring out the 2-6-6-2's and 2-6-6-0's again. I know I'll have a new one if the price fits the wallets at hand! :D

I just hope MP doesn't lower the quallity as they're known for, then the Mantua reputation will be lost forever!
