    Thnxs Allen...

In the last 3+ years...I have the cabinets pretty well full of 'stuff'. Come spring/summer I think I am going to have to do some 'rearranging' of things inside them...lol.

I've been following your build from the start...very impressive work. (y)

    Thanks George!
Maybe instead of rearranging things, maybe you need to trade up in size of the motor home?
At least the benchwork work would be a breeze? More layout, more space to stash the "Stuff"?
    Just saying...;)

LOL...THE RV is 4 feet from my shed and 18 inches off the main gate behind. No expansion possible.

My problem...like most everyone else into model railroading is...I tend to 'hoard' EVERYTHING. You never know when ya might just need the 'thingamajig' you threw in a box somewhere 5 years ago !!! :ROFLMAO:

Love it. People ask me every once in awhile to build a piece of furniture for them and when I tell them the price most of them balk. Fine with me, I got enough to do. :)

    OMG the sky's falling!! [IMG]

I actually got some layout time and ran a train again.

A buddy came over to install some chips and I seized the moment to get some junk cleared off the layout and clean the tracks in Malvern. I'm hoping to gear up for another Op session in April.

This is the first time I had the S-2 in action as well as some of the newly acquired Bluford Woodchip hoppers. The hoppers worked great but the S-2 may need a little more break-in time as well as gauging the wheels.
As you can see, it was having a hard time pulling 5 cars.

But no matter, it was good to scratch the itch!

A bit more on the Blog

After I shot the previous video and realized how poorly the S-2 ran, I did some digging and research and got it running much better. Didn't figure out what the problem was that caused the issue, but I got it fixed and it's running great now. One of the axles was seized up and not spinning at all. My thoughts are that the axle was inserted incorrectly at the factory causing it to become wedged??

I've updated the blog with pictures of the tear down.

Also posted a video with it running with the sister S-2.
If you don't care about the tear down, here's a link to the video

When you operate these as the W&OV power, will they be solo or paired?

As solo. Which was my intentions from the start, then when the first one ran like crap I changed my mind and snagged a second just in case. The plan is to have the S-2 be the local goat that collects and distributes the cars in Malvern.

So as of now I have a spare

I have had a atlas locomtive come with a truck installed backward! So yours was probably also something with the truck area

Yeah I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the way the trucks were assembled at the factory.

Quality control is really slipping everywhere with things these days. And not just with Atlas.
