Ok, it took a while, and I got pics, too! They will be in the Yahoo projects/trains link below. The cabshades were fragged during reinstallation of the cab glass, so they were shaved away, and touched-up. What you see is all my work; Testor's glosscote, Microscale decals, Floquil BN green/engine black paint, and Modelflex MILW orange. BLMA grabs, and JnJ grabs were used, along with BLMA GPS dome (which looks really cool!), Sinclair antennas, and other details soon to be added. The unique number is commemorating our *my wife and I* wedding anniversary, being married 1-17-01. I love the BN tigerstriped locos of '85, and are hard to come by, save for the pricey GP50 from Kato. I had to have one of my own, so here it is, my first real custom loco paint job!!!! Tell me what you think!!! I am thinking of doing a set, like the ones in MILW in the latest NSR, and add a fuel tender..... Could someone post a few pics from Yahoo here? Note, they are big, to show off the details.
Good work Jerry! I never did care for the tiger stripe scheme, but have to admit it does look good on that wide nose unit
Wow! Very nice! You did an awesome job there! Very nicely detailed and painted. Talk about a very unique and distinctive locomotive. Time to sit back and admire your fine work! Russ
Thanks for the comments! I really enjoyed doing this one, and now that I am going to the local club more, I even am getting offers to decal other's locos! On30, even... I hate doing decals on the numberboards, tho...
Nice job on the locomotive. Looks good in BN green. Watch out - detailing can become addictive! Mike Cannone San Diego
Very cool locomotive!!! Great job painting and detailing. I would like to see more projects like this in the future! Keep us posted.
Webshots has a lot more pics in it! I uploaded some more tonite, and will continue to in the future. I loaded some pics of benchwork, bogus tracklaying *for kicks* and some TigerMAC pics. Have fun!
[/qb]
I am addicted... Craig started it! Step away from the grab irons and nobody will be hurt! [/QB]
Need I say anything?
You can say it well enough when you bring that secret Skunk Works Steam project you have out from under the covers (hint, Hint!!!) [ 24 March 2002, 07:57: Message edited by: Benny ]
