HI all! just wondering if any of you have seen any ad;s on tv for model railroad/hobby shops?
Recently ive been seeing ads for a place called hobby one here in brisbane, it only takes about 5 seconds to say that they have trains, but i certainly think its a good thing that they do advertise... Especially at prime time! In the middle of the simpsons. might get some young kid interested
anyone else seen any hobby ads?

None where I live. There are no hobby shops to do advertising. I wish.....

Hobbytown USA advertises on the DIY Channel. They are one of the sponsers of the show called "Radio Controlled Hobbies".
They also run their commercials during many NASCAR races on TV.

The only adds we see here are for the Norfolk Southern and BNSF railroads.

No local ads for hobby shops in my area, but I saw one a while back for the GATS. I wasn't even into model railroading anymore (ever since I had a layout as a kid a long time ago), but it gave me an idea of something to do with my girlfriend, so we went. That's what got me back into the hobby. I didn't hear about the show from any other source (until it was over, I saw it on the news), so if it wasn't for the tv ad (which I think I saw during the simpsons [IMG] ) I wouldn't have gotten back into the hobby when I did! Yeah for tv.

none train-related what so ever. I have seen some Union Pacific ads more recently, odd how i"m in WV, local TV station is 12 miles from here and the closest that UP gets to here is chicago?
