Today was the first at my house in two weeks we've been above freezing. The "S" word is in our forecast all this coming week, so far....
50's / 30's & NO "S" until sometime after DEC 1st :teeth: First time I can remember NO "S" in Oct or Nov in ages !!!! ** Which reminds me...i better buy some propane for THE RV come payday...lol **
New smaller streetlight poles... The older BIG streetlight poles... I like the newer ones. Just have to find/make the lampheads :headspin:
It's been like mid-February here. Below zero at night, have only been above freezing a couple of days in the past 3+ weeks. And that includes the "S" word.
Thnxs Grey One...still have to put in the individual 'floors' and the 'glass'....butr they are getting there Thnxs Shades...I think they look better too
George, you are ahead of me. Cool looking lights and the AT&SF Northern sitting there needs a group of historical minded types to restore it. Uhh...err...when Kato makes a chassis or mechanism for it. I also like what you did with the GN B-mann Coach. ;ooking spiffy as a Dinner. So, can I get a hot turkey or hot beef sandwich? It's raining here George, I don't know what that means for you in the next day or two and have no idea if this storm is moving east. Tripping on your layout. :startled: Awesome stuff going on there.
Rick.... I dont know about gettin a hot turkey or hot beef sandwich at the diner. Its been sold. Some gal named 'Alice' bought it. But I am sure you will be able to get a hot turkey or hot beef sandwich once she reopens it...cause... You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant Walk right in it's around the back Just a half a mile from the railroad track You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant Yup...still using that white powder out of that old 'CoffeMate' container...in my coffee....LMAO !!! :teeth: BTW...If you believe the weather people...the storm track is going to be right along the I40. Should just barely miss us. ;-)
I keep the "Alice's Restaurant Massacree" in my MP3 player. Fun listening! They say we may break the freezing mark again in a couple of days...
It's all Mike Fifer and BoxcabE50's fault !! It's all Mike Fifer and BoxcabE50's fault !! Mike started it with a new video camera... I called my son to have him check specs on a new video camera I told him I might wanna buy. I havent a clue what most of that stuff means !! He tells me he will call back. Two days later...UPS shows up at the door with a package <I'm confused>. Open the package...find a new Sony HDR-CX 240 video camera !! I call my son...."Merry Christmas Pops" he says. Yea...choked me up too...What a kid eh ?? Then there is BoxcabE50... He says no one makes helicopter flyover videos with helicopter sounds. So here ya go Ken... The newest THERR helicopter flyover...with sound from inside the helicopter !!!
Last time I rode in something that had to beat the air into submission to fly was back in ought 63 or 64. And then we were so low I could look through the doors of the village hooches. Thats huts or houses to the to the post Nam folks who were still in diapers. So that close brush with the church steeple raised a little hair on the old nap of the neck, about the only place I have any to raise anymore except my ears. And that side to side yawing. That pilot didn't have some of that special creamer in his coffee from the oft referred to Coffee Mate container did he. Then the Wife dropped something in the kitchen and I hit the deck screaming incoming. I am okay now that I have had a little of that special clear elixir that I bought from your cousin Bubba in my 2nd cup of Java. Spilt the first one when I hit the deck. I have to hand it to you though that was one heck of a flyover.
George, excellent video and I second Johnny's comment. Unfortunately, your video reminded of my one unnerving helicopter ride from Pomona to LAX 50 years ago when our LA Airways Sikorsky tried its best to shake itself apart. Though I since learned that was a characteristic of all Sikorskys....not fun for a person who rates his enjoyment of flying down at the same level as dealing with used car salesmen and lawyers. LOL
Yikes. Is that church steeple still intact? Your pilot sure cut it close. Must have been a windy day.
Vietnam Era chopper pilots are a breed of their own And we wont even mention the grunts who work the MOW crew....LOL. :teeth: T.H.E.R.R. sure has some strange people working for them :closedmouth:
