Just got home. The surgery took 2 hours longer than scheduled but it was succesfull. I wish to thank everyone for the support and prayers.
The last thing my wife said before I went out was "Please come back to me". The Lord saw fit to keep me here a little longer.
    I Love you all

    Thank you

God has work for you to do, now you have been given more time to accomplish whatever task he has planned for you. Thanks for putting your trust in God and allowing his saints to offer prayers in your behalf. We will all continue to lift up your speedy recovery.

You listen well.........with a little help from the Master Physician.

I'm happy the surgery went well, and am still sending prayers up for your recovery.

Thanks every body for the kind words and prayers.. My back is very sore today so spent most of the time in bed with an occasional walk around the house.

    Thanks again.

Like my grandpappy used to say, "Better to be a little sore than to be no more!"

Glad that you are on the road to recovery!

    Happy railroading!

Glad Sandy asked you to come back! Your back will eventually get better and you will be up and about soon! Thank God! It was His will you see.

Does your doc have any rehab planned for your back? Or just old fashioned recuperation?

    Thanks again everybody.

My back is much better now. No pain except a slight twinge when I move wrong. It will take several weeks for the nerves to regenerate.

Friskabob. I don't know what the Dr. has in mind at the moment. He is on vacation now. Tuesday the 12th, the nurse is taking the staples out, about 8 of them. Monday the 18th I will see the Dr. and find out what to do next.

One of my fellow workers at Wal-Mart passed away Monday with cancer. It was sudden. The Dr. just discovered it 6 weeks ago. Now Wal-mart is really short of greeters until I can get back to work.
