Nice benchwork. Looks light and sturdy. What track plan will you use?

Here is my preliminary trackplan using Micro Trains track.
I used up my 50 piece limit on Anyrail, so the plan is definately subject to change.

JoeS, I am originaly from South Bend, moved to Florida about 7.5 years ago.

A bender! I started in Z about 2004 sounds just about the time you left. I was in N before that. Just starting in Z or have you always been?

Been sick the last couple days.

Shamoo, I wish I was on the other side of the state line because you pay extra for the name Florida.
JoeS, The last time I was up there about 2 and a half years ago it looked pretty run down. I am glad I left when i did because I probably would have lost my job up there when the ecomomy tanked.

John, great start. Spurs and sidings help diversify operations. Sometimes, you get a little bored with the round-and-round. Srop some magnets after the turnouts and have fun !

One suggestion: You have a lof of space on the layout so consider changing the angles running around, less parallels. See page 8 of the World's Greatest Hobby info sheet: http://www.greatesthobby.com/wgh/objects/pdf/wgh_fullbooklet(1).pdf

or this N layout that would also easily fit in your 3x5 space. Shown in the Oct 2011 MRR magazine:

    Thanks for the suggestions.
I like the look of that layout. I am still in the planning stages so any track planning help is great.
