any suggestions from y'all on how to make stained glass on church windows? The model's in N scale, if that means anything.
I have a suggestion that may (or may not!) work, how about using felt tip colouring pens on clear plastic sheet, you'll have to be careful not to touch the coloured in bits before they dry though.
Well, pre-computers, some people took photos of signs and stuff to cut out and use on their models. So how about getting a slide (transparency) film for your camera and take some photos of the prototype (from inside)?
There are many possibilities. You can get stained glass paints at the craft store and paint your own windows on clear acetate. There was some printed stained glass windows made by Langley Models in England. Search the web and you might still be able to find it. Also, there was some guy on the N scale yahoo groups was making and selling N scale stained glass windows. Right now, I can't recall his name. Maybe another post there will bring up his name and website. Just a few ideas. Good Luck,
How about making a color photocopy of some pictures of a real stained glass windows on overhead transparency? Cut out, glue to your window frames and illuminate your structure from the inside should produce a nice effect! Never tried it myself, but it sounds solid to me. -Mike
