Here are some images of my project current to date. The tender is not connected as I am waiting for an ESU Select Micro to be returned to me from ESU USA. One reason for the pictures was to find some glaring errors or install problems and I have seen one major one that I hope I can correct. The front pilot (porch) is leaning to one side. May end up doing some touch up weathering ? ? ? BTW, the boiler shell is not fitted permanently yet.

Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy.

I want one, I want one, I want one........

Looks really good. I believe SP only had 3 of these. It is a shame no one has made them.

    David,

actually the SP began taking delivery of 12, coal fired, AC-9's in El Paso, Texas beginning 10/11/1939. They were purchased exclusively for the El Paso - Tucumcari run because the SP had coal hauling contracts from the Dawson mines in New Mexico. The locomotives were converted to oil burners and transferred to California in 1953. No's 3804 & 3805 ended up serving on the Modoc Line until 1956.

    Thanks for the comment.
