Sources for Prototypical Track Arrangements?

    Are there any reliabe all around sources for prototype track arrangements 1950s or before? (especiall in Central TX)

    Actually there are places to look. Go to the land office in local towns. Look into archive records of deeds and maps. Explane what your looking for. Most people will be glad to help. Also you local llibrary. Depending on what area of Central/East Texas you might visit local colleges and there librarys. Also museums.
    Depending on what road ie. Tennaha Timpson Bobo and Blair, you might try the Texas state railroad. Baylor has a good record archive as does U of T and A&M. I have found they are very willing to let you copy infomation.

    Matt, So yes, over all you might be able to find historical information. I suggest that depending on how much space you have that rather than go for historical acuracy, go for what would work for operations on your layout.
