the other day when my father-in-law and i were spending time together, i happened to notice a train on the tracks by us. one of the engines was a soo-line engine with a black line going through the soo lettering......was soo line taken over by a new train line or something the numbering was the same but instead of the soo reporting marks was something like gfax (couldnt really see the first letter.was covered up a little, but did happen to see the fax) thanks people
Gordon Fay Associates? I thought their rail line was out of business. More. It's a former part of the Bay Colony Railroad and Seminole Gulf Railway. So, close to Florida, USA.
Was it a 6000 series number, and one of the non-INNR sub-leased numbers noted below? And could the reporting mark have been CEFX? 11 of the 21 first series Soo SD60's (6000-6020) are on sub-lease to INNR but the remainder may have been returned to lessor, CIT Financial, one of whose reporting marks is CEFX. The 10 non-INNR sub-leased units should be 6600-03, 6005, 6008, 6014-15, 6019-20. The Soo has been majority owned by CP for many years with full ownership formalised with the purchase of outstanding shares in 1992 and is now one of CP's US subsidiaries.
if im not mistaken it could've been a 6000 series................but it looked like it only had 3 numbers..............could be wrong though
