Normally when I get this message on my DT400 I dispatch the consist or loco and then select the desired one. Today I am unable to get rid of either consist. When I dispatch from either side I keep getting the "Slot Max" message and the address for the loco stays? Is this just Dcc's way of driving me crazy? Of course there is no "Slot Max in the index of the Super Chief manual. All help gladly accepted... Doc
Section 8.6 "slot=max". To clear slots of all mobile decoder and consists, Close Op Switch #36. This will clear the slots but leave all other Option switches set as they are. If you haven't already done so, close Op switch 44 to expand the DCS100 from 22 slots to 120 slots. Info on the option switch settings and a table is in section 28 of the super Chief manual. When setting op switch 36, follow the special power cycling instructions at the beginning of section 28. Martin Myers
