    This one anybody can do!

It's been done a million times, but I need one for Z scale so I took pics. Take a small rectangle of Masonite with the rough side facing down and bevel the front and back edges so they won't get caught on track work. Mount 2 pins that will fit into corresponding holes in the frame.

I used 1/8" thick hard board and it worked out perfect:

And now big N scale brother has a buddy:

You can do this a bunch of ways, you could use nails turned upside down for the pins. You could add weight to the car or on the pins to help push down the pad. I use the N scale version right behind the locomotive and it does help.

Nice work Chris. I forgot about that type of cleaning car, that used to be so popular before the Cratex and Handi-Wipe cars started showing up.

They work real well, as I used to run one all the time on our N Trak modules.

    I don't get it!

So this type of pressed material cleans the tracks without solvents of cleaners? Interesting!!!!!
