Silver Lake IN - 1913 Maurice Lewman Collection. This was in Northern Indiana just North of North Manchester and South of Claypool.
A photo of the Silver Lake station on a postcard: The writing on the back: What vital message would someone be sending to someone else about 10 miles away in 1913? Essentially: "How is everyone? We are well. Do you have any pigs for sale? The calf is doing fine."
Outstandingly interesting. No pig, no bacon.... The second pic hints at the RR colors used on buildings. Perhaps useful for hobby research.
Interesting story about the station agent at Silver Lake around the time that the photo was taken: https://dna-explained.com/2018/10/2...-code-telegraphs-and-trains-52-ancestors-213/
