Silicon Valley FreeMoN'ers rocked the California Central Coast Rail Fair in San Luis Obispo this past weekend. Four of us drove down, with a large number of modules, and we set up in an approx 55' x 25' space. Quite a lot of visitors came through. When we first arrive, things tend to look like this But, after a few hours, a layout (never the same way twice) emerges
Having a room all to ourselves, we were able to turn out the lights and I was able to do "night" photography on the layout Grossman's Deli finally got its interior light working And even the A&W in the evening
We (Peninsula Ntrak) have done a number of shows in SLO county and it was always an enjoyable weekend. Venue does not look familiar, where was it at ?
SP 3304 was making a run around the layout. It had a fairly new companion join it, and it appears its crew was getting it ready for Halloween Some modern freight was pulling up alongside it, too.
It is what I love about N scale - you don't really notice until the following day when you look at the photos! As I said -- they are preparing for Halloween
We didn't have huge crowds, but a good steady stream. We even let a number of kids run trains, until their parents got bored.
Soooo Excited too. First major show at the remodeled fair grounds. You'll even get an ADA elevator so more people can get up there.
