This is to be fixed to the fence near thr railway line at the bottom of my garden (just hooked on for the photograph). Note the tracks behind An appropriate location for the sign, I think
Doesn't look to badly altered. What are they doing with that car? I also see a caboose. So is it actually railroad oriented? Or just an underlying theme? Boxcab E50
One of these days going to or from San Antonio, I have to stop again and check it out. The most recent time I drove through, there was a sign, the lights were on and there were cars in the parking lot.
Yes, cast iron, and probably of Great Northern railway origin (pre 1923). But could be an LNER replacement.
Here's a tougher item to find. The very first employee timetable ever issued by the Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern RR. November 1, 1987. Boxcab E50
Argh!! I haven't had my breakfast as yet. Now you've made me hungry! Interesting chart. Smoke abatement. It's a good thing we aren't reliant upon steam engines for commerce today. Otherwise, world economics would be completely devastated. Boxcab E50
Here's an extreme rarity. Most collectors proclaim, loudly, it does not exist. But as you can see, it does. I pulled it myself. So know it's origin! At right, is a very scarce 1951 Milwaukee Road date nail. For comparison, at left is a known, fairly common Milw 1949 date nail. You can see clearly they are the exact same size, same shank, same head, of a manufacter the Milw regularly used. Boxcab E50
