We had an ice cream wagon come around our neighborhood, with the blaring music box music. Every kid ran out chanting "Monsieur Cornet!" over and over again. Those were the days! With ice cream mustaches...
That's a great scene Wolf! I missed out on the ice cream trucks, we only ever had snow cone trucks run in the neighborhood I grew up in.
Some of my HO creations, is this party train. I have a lot of fun doing this little things, that little 1/3F units pulls the eggocentric train up and around the MRR no problems, I didnt think it would have the tractive effort to do it, but I was surprised that it pulled the train with ease. Below I give you the Hindsight Industrial Rail System party train. At op sessions I invited people to bring their own power, coupler heights are very strictly adhered to and clean wheels are a must, they can bring their own trains too if they want, but their cars dont get mixed with anything else. All freight trains get a caboose, for if nothing else to make sure their train is intact at a quick glance. While maybe not people pics, this caboose is what gets added to your train if you forget to bring your own caboose. What you cant see is the flat spots I filed on the wheels so it bangs its way around the MRR, nowadays they almost never forget to bring their own caboose to an op session. I really am OK.
Gotta love that caboose crew! That barbecue scene could be set on the "back porch" of an SD40-2 (or even the on the front of one of CN's SD40-2s)... That train is so cool.
Such beautiful postings! Will be keeping them in mind. @r_i_straw Baseball game is a great scene but there is a train going by and everyone is facing the wrong way. ☻
