I was in town today and I heard this awful whistle , it sounded like a farm animal dying , and it was the whistle of a CP Eastbound going thru CP needs to do something about their power . I have a old National Geographic mag from 1994 or 95 and it has a big feature on CP Rail and from that article , the employees are complaining that the power is always going belly up . I sure like my high back seats , 5 grand a seat I must add as well as microwave ovens on every CN unit . Working for CN is complete luxury , we ride in style [ 11 April 2001: Message edited by: Davecn5623 ]
Dave, ya aint seen the cabs of the 4650's (so I have heard). They are former Boston and Maine GP40-2's that had a complete overhaul (yet Independant Locomotive Services forgot paint) took 8 units 11 months to rebuild. Besides yer not running NS units, yer lucky to get a glorified stepstool as a seat LOL. Jon
I had the 6071 last trip. It had a new reconfigured cab. I like the comfort of the Air Chief seats. But once you get going, you better have taken a few Gravol's! I personally let all the air out of the seats when I have them. I actually liked CN's seats because they don't sway all over the place. Funky colours too!

What a coincidence! Daniel D
