I'd like to add something else to my list. If you're taking orders for locomotives how about a CF7? Especially in an undecorated version so that shortline/free lancers can paint them up.
I would like to see Micro-Trains (or anybody for that matter) an accurate model of the Auxiliary Tender that Union Pacific uses for the excursion trains. The Con-Cor model is not even close. I still can't believe that no one has produced these (except Overland Models); they can't be that difficult.
Powered / "cheater" boxcars for steam enthusiast to augment their locos pulling capacity. Undecorated in general Undecorated 2 bay smooth sided covered hoppers preferably molded in white and / or black. Thanks for asking.
I don't really model American, but I do enjoy MTLs variety, like the postal cars that made the rounds a while back. Something unique and I'll buy it. I'd like to fourth the request for any 19th century rolling stock. Small steam engines and old shorter rolling stock go together well for smaller layouts and sharper curves.
Joe: I sent Chris Randall and Eric Smith a short list of ideas some time ago: 1. set of plastic window fillers for the troop sleepers (outfit conversion). 2. depressed centre flat car in Canadian National with generator load 3. new 4427 cu ft grain hopper in BC Rail 4. 40 foot boxcar with Superior doors in British Columbia Railway Chris and Eric have the reference photographs. Regards, Tim
I would really appreciate Micro-trains eliminating using copper-colored uncoupling pins, and make them black as they are when other manufacturers use MT trucks/couplers on their products. The copper color is highly noticeable, has a poor appearance, and looks nothing like the prototype. The black colored pins look much better, and more like brake hoses. This is a very simple, inexpensive change that, in my opinion, would greatly improve the appearance of all Micro-trains cars, and replacement trucks/couplers. Al
Joe, Keep the heavyweight passenger cars coming. Also more rolling stock from the 1900 to WWII era. All new products should have wheelsets that will work on Code 55 track. Glenn
Personally I would like to see: 1) A multi-pack of brown trailer train 89'4" flat cars to handle all of the trailers on the market. 2) A multi-pack of yellow trailer train (not TTX) 89'4" flat cars to handle all of the trailers on the market. 3) Your 89'4" flat car retooled to handle either a Twin 45, Triple 28 or Triple 53 trailers. 4) More Carbon Black Hoppers (without the sill stripping) 5) Airslide Hoppers
I would like to see 2 dome tank cars, 1940-1970 era. No one make them in N scale. There are single dome and 3 dome cars, but none of the 2 dome variety. Various paint schemes and owners could be put out and they would fit on many layouts.
Another vote for any 19th. and early 20th. century rolling stock or loco's. There is little enough now that I'd be happy with "generic" or "common" prototypes of wide spread types of equipment. Top of the list-wooden truss-rod hopper bottom coal gons, like Funero and Camerlingo and a couple others have done in HO. Several shown in White's "Early American Freight Cars". There were thousands of these and they lasted at least into the 1920's, but no models I know of in N.
I thought of asking for Santa Fe heavyweights but thought they might be too unique, most of Santa Fe's own heavyweights were quite different to anyone else's, but as long as we have a nomination I'll second it.
