I have question about scratch build n scale buildings. Where can I get wood for siding, decking etc. I gather that 1/8 material would be scale 4/4 and 1/8 by 1/16th would be 2/4 material. What is the scale dimensions for decking and siding. I watched a video where the guy built a model building like you frame a house. He built his model in O scale. Is it crazy to try to do this in N scale? Also, is there a big difference between wood and styrene?
I use evergreen and plastruct styrene for everything in scale. For wood, go with northeastern scale lumber.
ggburke, For some of the sites like Clever Models, you just download the file, scale if necessary, and print on a regular copier (straight feed if printing on card stock). Scott
