Not too well , thats the only problem with the new motor. :( I run DCC , But I still have to set speed curves in all my old Atlas and Kato units to run them with a new Atlas loco.

Well, in reality, most folks only want to use the new engines in a consist of a few of the older ones. Jim Hinds of Richmond Controls uses diodes in series with the motors on the older locomotives to slow them down. He uses tiny surface mount bridge rectifiers that are wired to get two series diodes in each direction so the motor will run either way. Each circuit dumps about 1.5 volts. One or two of these usually brings the older locomotive down to a similar speed. Then there are the folks that swap motors around till they get all fast motors in one consists and all slow motors in another, each with combinations of newer and older locomotives.
