For us steam afficianados. We have recently lost three steam engineers, all of whom I have had the pleasure of riding with and getting to know. Tom Stephens, of Nickel Plate 765 fame, just left us. Within the last several weeks we have lost Greg Kamholz, lifelong BNSF and predecessors employee, and one of two regular engineers on Portland's SP&S 700, plus the Zoo train and most of the tourist railroads operating steam around the northwest. Last but not least, our own Bill Killion, who was Ironhorseman here on Trainboard, and a long time engineer on the Yreka Western 19, where he gave me more than one cab ride. RIP all of you.
Jim, thank you for sharing even sad news. My sympathies for their families and friends, including yourself.
