Aside form the actual road you are modeling, does your layout see any foreign trains?? Shared trackage rights lead to some interesting modeling . Foreign cars will appear regularly on my SFSW, but in addition, the trackage rights are shared with the Denver and Rio Grande. So aside for Santa Fe equipment I expect to see some DRGW freight and a few passenger trains passing through. AND because this is a freelanced world, I may occasionally allow a CB&Q train to pass, if they have a line blockage on their own line !! Let me know what foreign stuff appears on your layout!! If you are not part of a club (as I am not), do friends run foreign eqipment on your line?? I think it would be a great way to get our friends to come and get involved in the layout too! Since I model the Frisco, I'll have UP power run through on a pool arangement. I'm in the process of getting some Santa Fe (no Beansniff power for me ) motive power as well, since once in a while ATSF power went up the real-life Afton Sub of the Frisco. In my locomotive case I also have locomotives for Kiamichi, Texas, Oklahoma & Eastern and Texas Northwestern (all actual shortlines), so for grins & giggles I'll run them once in a while. ------------------ Southeast....Southwest.. Since the ACRR leases equipment from Amtrak for passenger service, there is an F40ph pulling a couple of Amfleet passenger coaches. In the morning, there is a MHC also. That car carries mail to Concord. In the evening, the car returns, with mail for Augsburg. There might be some CNW equipment running on my layout as well. My uncle has a custom painted Kato set of "The 400." He can't run it on his layout and wants to see what it will do on mine...can't wait to see it, take pictures too. Jeff Augsburg 7 Concord R.R. I don't model a railroad. I model the family business: The Watash Terminal Engine Over-haul & Boiler Works. We therefore will work one any engine, steam or diesel, snowplow, or crane that needs repair. So, You name the railroad, you are liable to see it on one of our tracks sooner or later. I don't have to do all that pesky re-painting you guys do!! (I thought it was pretty slick too!) ------------------ Watash #982
On my High Desert & Siera layout I have a lot of UP and SP power. Railfan [This message has been edited by rail_fan (edited 15 January 2001).]

As a member of the North American Rail Alliance, the M.A.T. sure interchanges with many just as Catt says in his reply. This has added to the fun of Free Lancing to a large degree ------------------ Robin member #35 Maberly and Tayside
Since CSX bought out Conrail I can have more variety of locos and rolling stock on my layout. CSX also uses a lot of lease locos from various lease companies and many of them still have paint schemes from UP,SP,original BN,WC,D&RGW,BC, and others although the numbers were changed. I also see occasional BNSF,NS,and WC rolling through.
Dvae, Sounds like you have a HUGE livery!! Good to see some D&RGW power on your line up!! Happy MOdeling!! John ------------------ The Santa Fe and Southwestern, Chief of the Southwest!!
Interchange? Conrail, CSX(ex-B&O), CIW and the CEE (N Scale) and as of yesterday, the White River Terminal (HO scale). Roger
