Anyone know of anyone making road striping decals?

I have looked at several decal websites and did not see what I am looking for. I HAVE FOUND 4" to 6" width, various stripe decals of course. BUT, what I am looking for is specifically a decal made for highways with the solid and broken lines WHITE.

Also, I found the "stick-on" type, but that is unacceptable due to the obvious raised texture it would create.

I am sure this stuff is out there, I am just not looking in the right place.

If you don't mind making your own, you might want to try solid white decal paper available from Microscale. An 8 1/2" x 11" sheet is $2.00 retail. It is also available in other colors.

    Kitbash,
I'm going to elaborate on what ncng just posted.

I have a cheap ink jet printer. I bought a couple of pages of 'white' microscale decal paper and their famous 'last step' ( very important) spray. I have made lots of different decals using all sorts of colors. One important point, get the decal paper that is 'white' rather than clear. Ink comes out very faint in colors other than black on the 'clear' paper.

For the centerline markers, make rectangular boxes to the size you want then run a row across the decal paper. Print it. then spray only the area that you printed. That way you can cut off the 'Highway' portion of the "pricey" portion of the paper and run it through again when you have more decals to print.

    Good Luck

Thanks guys. I have thought about this. Obtaining a good quality WHITE backed decal stock and just cutting my own w/ a parallel bar or by similar method.

My fear there is not getting each strip perfectly uniform and having that be noticeable when butting strips up end to end.

However... after reading the posts, thinking about this some more.. I think I can do it effectively. I have about 15ft of roadway I have poured using Woodland Scenics roadmix.... sanding it down, and then filling imperfections in w/ spackling compound and resanding. It has turned out to be a VERY good method.

I have painted using various paints, chalks, tarlines w/ sharpie pens, etc... now I am ready to stripe that jewel and move on.

    Thanks again for the suggestions.

At the Hobby Store by my house they have thin white and yellow tape that could be used for lines. On the new layout coming up in August sometime that is what I am going to use for the lines. That's my 2c worth.
