I got the PIKO Railjet set during a trip to Germany over the summer and I would like to add DCC and lighting to it. The locomotive and cab car are easy to get into for the decoder installation. My problem involves the other two cars. It looks like the shells are attached differently because my method to get the cab car shell off doesn't really work for the coaches. I will have to post pictures later. There are tabs on the sides of the shell that hold it on to the chassis, and there are tabs on the bottom of the shell that prevent it from being spread open. They snap into the skirts, which are part of the frame. They pop open on the cab car, but the shell of the others doesn't spread open, even with a lot of force. There is something right next to the wheel well that prevents it from coming off the frame. Does anybody have any PIKO Hobby Line cars with the same design that could help me figure this out?
