Wow, just read on TO that Reed Jackson, long time steam program conductor for UP, passed away following surgery for a brain tumor. I met him a couple of years ago, nice man, and always looked the conductor part in his neat uniform. Hemi, I'm sure you met him somewhere along the line. :tb-sad:
In a class act by UP, bashed by many fans over the years, the railroad has renamed their concession car from Sherman Hill to Reed Jackson. Very nice gesture. :tb-sad:
Reed was indeed a great guy, and I had the pleasure of meeting him and working with him on several occasions. He was a fixture on UP Steam trips, and looked the part of the conductor, with his UP conductor uniform. High greens to you, Reed, and my condolences to your family!
