Can anybody report on any "Red & White" sightings out there in CP land? I understand there are some early Geeps, and some SD40s still wearing the proud colors. Let us know where and when. We're planning a trip to Hankinson-Glenwood, with stopovers in St. Paul and Milwaukee, and want to get lotsa pictures.
    Thanks,

There has been a few trains running full red/white sets along the river line south of St Paul of late. Best bet is to subscribe to the MNRail list and ask there. Jason Korth lives in the area and generally knows what is around.
majordomo@lists.visi.com no subject header, 'subscribe mnrail' (sans qoutes) if subscribing from your usual email address, or if you have another address to send the posts to 'subscribe mnrail (you@address)' (sans quotes), in the text body.

    Gary,
once again, thanks for the info. I'll subscribe to that list. I didn't even know it existed. Jason is very active on the cpheavyhaul list too, and he and others report "red & white" sightings, but I can never seem to pin them down. One unit that left St. Paul, was later reported as sighted in Montana! I'd like to figure out the rotation schedules, so we can catch as many as possible. Our stay will be short, so don't want them all at opposite ends of the system at the time we're there.
    Thanks again,

You're welcome, Bill. I understand what you are saying. I try to maximise my time as well. I suggest tohe Twin Cities as being the best point for finding Soo red/white. Also a search of the CP trace may find the destination of units prior to your departure.
Hi DF. How's Breck's little known twin these days? [IMG]

Gats. We're doing fine here, just west of Breck! By the way, some of the former SOO GP15 & GP20 Cats are now working on the RRV&W but lettered TCWR. I also photographed SOO 4413 & 4414, both R&W just east of Hankinson on 01.04.00. CP tracks are just 20 miles from home but I don't get there as often as I should.

Oops! I meant SOO GP15 & 30 Cats. The former BN/SOO GP20Cs have been working here for quite some time. The 15s and 30s are still in SOO red with the SOO markings painted over red and re-stenciled in white for TCWR.
