I have two Intermountain N Scale SD40-2 locos I consist together back to back. Everything is working fine but the rear lights come on depending on direction of travel. I would like to shut the rear lights off completely while in advanced consist mode. What CVs need to be changed and what values put in them to turn out the rear lights.

Can't you select the loco number and turn off the lights? That's how I do it (Digitrax).

Do you always have one loco as the lead, and the other as trailing, or do they alternate being the lead? If the former, than just disable the lights in the trailing unit. If the latter, then I agree with Steve, just turn off the lights (F0) when running in reverse.

For the former: You don't say how you are consisting, so I assume you are using advanced consist. The simpleist with this would be to set CV22=0 in the trailing unit. The lights will (should) not respond to F0 when the consist address is used. If that doesn't work, then, for the trailing unit, turn off the headlight completely: first set CV32=0, then CV259=0. Note: this means the lamp will not come on, even if the loco is acting independently.
