RailImages Upload Issues - We Need Your Help

How does one shrink the image of pics down before uploading?


I do it in my computer using the software that came with my Kodak camera. I suppose there are other software packages that offer the same thing.

I've had no luck at all trying to upload anything to Railimages tonight (Friday evening). I wonder if it partly has something to do with the internet generally being busy.

Must be general slowness as you mentioned. I was more or less successfully uploading just an hour and change before you posted. I had only one error message, but was able to load my 8 photos (broken into a couple of batches after getting the error message.

I've just uploaded some old photos taken 3 years ago with my old 3MP camera - they uploaded with no problems.

The photos I had the upload problems with were the ones taken with my 7mp and 10mp cameras.

This could point to the problem being with the auto-resizing programming during the photo uploading process.

I have a new error message up tonight.

I resized the photos on my computer to 800 x 600 which used 64kb, tried to upload and got this message

This came up a few times while trying to upload. Also if I tried to load more than 4 pictures at a time.

 

Multiple tries 2150 PDT June 12 -- most failed with this message or similar:

Thanks for the information, we are still trying to figure out why some members are experiencing the problem. It is so random and difficult to re-produce both for us and the software developers.

Hang in their we will work this out eventually.

Mike and Bryon, I did not check but have you provided the information we asked for in the first post in this thread, if so my thanks if not it would help.

 

This is strange, I have a new computer and system (Vista). I still get Unable to move file when I try to upload any pictures. I can upload with Explorer, Yahoo, and Nero but no on Trainboard. Have any clues as to what is going on here?

I still cannot load any image to more than one category. The upload process always skips the second screen, and just loads it directly. I do not get an error message. Is anyone else experiencing this?

 

Another issue being reported by Route 66

 

I uploaded a new album a few days ago and purposely loaded 4 and 5 images in one shot. Everything worked just fine.
